At GNC, we offer physiotherapy-led exercise groups designed specifically for individuals with Parkinson’s disease. While exercise is essential for everyone, it holds particular importance for those with Parkinson’s. Regular exercise can help improve balance, mobility, and flexibility, as well as support participation in daily activities. Research has shown that exercise can even help slow the progression of Parkinson’s disease and ease its symptoms.

Speak Out and Loud Crowd
SPEAK OUT® is a personalised speech and voice therapy program specifically designed for individuals with Parkinson’s disease and related conditions. Developed by the Parkinson’s Voice Project, this program focuses on using intentional speech to improve clarity and volume, helping preserve communication skills. It also offers the added benefit of supporting or enhancing swallowing function.
The program typically consists of 12 one-on-one sessions over four weeks, which can be delivered in person or via Telehealth for added convenience. After completing the program, clients are encouraged to join our GNC LOUD CROWD to continue strengthening their communication skills in a supportive group environment.
The SPEAK OUT® program is accessible under all funding streams, making it available to everyone who needs it.
