Meet our Occupational Therapist: Shinay Dowson
Shinay graduated from University of Sydney & moved to Melbourne where she has worked since 2004 in community roles & with many of her years at The Royal Melbourne Hospital.
She has worked in a variety of clinical settings across the health spectrum including acute hospital, In-Patient Rehabilitation, public & private community roles. She is experienced working with many different client groups & particularly enjoys working with Neurological conditions, Amputees & clients with complex health needs. Shinay has an interest in complex home modifications, equipment prescription, activity modification & cognitive retraining.
Shinay’s works collaboratively with her clients, their families & care teams, focusing on what is important to them & facilitating a path to safe and optimised daily function.
Shinay has recently relocated to Geelong with her young family and looks forward to exploring Geelong & the surf coast in her downtime.
