Meet our Exercise Physiologist: Jess Henderson
Jess is a Geelong local, growing up on a farm Jess had an active childhood and has always advocated the benefits of exercise in regards to rehabilitation. This led Jess to complete a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science and a Masters of Clinical Exercise Physiology at Deakin University.
After working privately over the last couple of years, Jess’s passion grew within the neurological space, growing her strengths in complex musculoskeletal injuries, neurodegenerative conditions that increase motor impairments/physical disability, and neurodevelopmental disorders such as ASD and down syndrome in children/adults.
Jess uses targeted exercise prescription to manage and improve the outlook of these conditions and/or injuries, working with the individual and their support team to ensure goal orientated and client centered care.
On weekends Jess plays Netball, enjoys running, travelling and supporting the best team in the AFL, Hawthorn.
