Annie O’Connor

Speech Pathologist

Annie is an experienced speech pathologist with a passion for getting to know and understand her clients and help them achieve the goals that are important to them. Annie has developed a wealth of knowledge through her experience across a variety of settings within the public healthcare system and in community settings at both Eastern Health and St Vincent’s Hospital.

Since 2013, Annie has worked clients with communication and swallowing disorders caused by neurological conditions such as stroke and progressive neurological disorders. Annie was Secretary of the Australian Aphasia Association (AAA) until she went on maternity leave in 2019. She is passionate about making services accessible for people with communication impairments and ensuring everyone has the ability to participate in conversations regarding their care.

When she is not at work, Annie loves spending time with her husband, son and Groodle, Winston. She has recently made a sea change to Torquay, so can often be found exploring the beaches or cafe’s in town.
