Stroke

What is a stroke and how will this condition affect me?
A stroke occurs when blood flow to the brain is disrupted, causing neurological deficits. Effects can include physical impairments, speech difficulties, cognitive challenges, and emotional changes, requiring ongoing rehabilitation.

How can GNC help?

GNC offers a multidisciplinary service to help you with your rehabilitation. We work closely with you and your external providers to achieve your goals. We see clients who may have had a stroke 10 years ago or a couple of weeks ago. There is a perception in the community that our progress may plateau after three months post-stroke but in the words of Henry Hoffman from Saebo we believe “It’s not the patient that plateaus, it’s their treatment options that do”.
